IMPORTANT PROGRAM UPDATE

The federal funds used to operate this project are scheduled to expire later this year. As a result, all ACE funds must be used for allowable activities no later than July 1, 2024. (Dates of service must occur before July 1, 2024.)*

All claims requesting payment or reimbursement must be submitted to Merit for processing no later than July 15, 2024. Any funds that are not expended by July 1, 2024 will no longer be available. Claims submitted after July 15, 2024 will not be approved.

*Clarification for service dates/close down for camps: Claims for day camps that have been paid for by parents may be reimbursed if the service date occurs through September 1, 2024. The claim is only reimbursable for day camps during this time period if the parent has paid up front and prior to July 1, 2024.

Educational Value

Art it Yourself provides an assortment of studio and mobile art experiences for children year round. SATURDAY CHILDREN ART CLASSES, ages 8 through 14 are from 12:00 PM-1:30 PM. AFTERSCHOOL ART CLUB, TEEN GROUP ART CLASSES and SEASONAL ART/SCHOOL BREAK CAMPS for various ages are provided. Our studio or your location for ART CLASSES available for children at schools, homeschools, and other businesses. Our SUMMER ART CAMP is for ages 6 through 15 which is Mon through Friday 9:00 AM-3:30 PM. Young artists enhance their creativity, learn art fundamentals and exciting techniques, collaborate with others, and community involvement. Students learn how to appreciate and critique art from experienced artists and art teachers. Through exploring art galleries, field trips, and nature students can learn and expand their imagination and self-esteem. Artists will publicly exhibit, sell, and learn entrepreneur skills. Students leave with a collection of art and a memorable fun experience.
