Educational Value

In Harmony Therapeutic Services offers adapted music lessons for individuals five (5) years and older in voice, piano, guitar, and ukulele. Children under age five (5) can be assessed for adapted music lessons to determine appropriateness of service. Within adapted music lessons, adaptive strategies and/or technology is used to help individuals find success in accessing musical instruments that may not be possible with traditional music lessons. Adapted music lessons are offered in 30, 45, and 60-minute sessions. Services feature an intake and assessment process, and well as collaboration with guiding adults on determining the musical goals addressed in sessions. The team at In Harmony Therapeutic Services believes in meeting our clients where they are, and that includes being flexible in how and where we provide services. In Harmony currently offers both in-person and virtual adapted music lessons, depending on the needs and physical location of each client. In-person sessions are typically held in the client’s home or another safe, accessible location. Virtual services can be offered via a number of platforms such as Zoom or FaceTime.
