Educational Value

With history and science under one roof, we have something for everyone in the family! Our facility includes the McKinley Gallery, featuring the largest collection of McKinley memorabilia in the world; the Street of Shops, a life-sized indoor 19th century town; the Stark County Story, a permanent exhibition exploring 200 years of local history; Discover World, an interactive science center; and the 65-seat Hoover-Price Planetarium. We are also the home of the Ramsayer Research Library, a non-lending facility for research, and a changing exhibition space called the Keller Gallery, which features rotating traveling exhibitions and shows produced in-house featuring our permanent collection of artifacts. We serve approximately 10,000 school children on school field trips each year. We offer summer camps in movie making and science topics. Our future plans include the development of after school programming. We are a valuable and respected educational resource in our community.
