As a youth service organization our focus is on youth understanding and empowerment in our programs, with that we have a promise instead of a mission so all youth understand why we do what we do. Our promise is “Young People want to shape the world. Camp Fire provides the opportunity to find their spark, lift their voice, and discover who they are. In Camp Fire, it begins now. Light the fire within.” Camp Fire’s four pillars of focus are on youth development through 1) environmental stewardship and summer camps, 2) teen leadership 3) out-of-school time/ before- and after-school programming and 4) community assessed needs.
