Educational Value

Richland Academy of the Arts provides arts education programming in the disciplines of dance, music, visual arts, theatre, musical theatre, and martial arts. The programs are taught year round on two 16 week semesters, fall and spring, and a 10 week semester, summer term. Student programming is taught individually or in a group class setting and concludes with performances at the end of each semester for example: May Dance Recital , Winter Music Recital, and a Fall Theatre Production. Qualified instructors are identified and vetted, in efforts to provide quality arts education experiences that foster student growth and maturity. Instructors evaluate and place students in appropriate classes that will promote the best student learning experience. Programming is taught in a safe, nurturing, and safe environment in a 47,000 square foot facility offering 4 dance studios, music labs, martial arts gym, art studio, Little Black Box Theatre, and 3 performance spaces. The facility is ADA compliant with ramps, lifts, and elevators, designated parking, and wheelchair accessible restrooms.
