I have had over 40 years of experience in teaching piano to all ages, from small children to older adults, from beginners to preparing students for doctoral auditions. I have taught at The Cleveland Institute of Music, The University of Akron and The College of Wooster; I was the accompanist for 37 years for The Cleveland Orchestra's Educational Department's "Musical Rainbow Concert Series" for children and their families. I am firmly of the belief that music and art are important elements in children's education and life. Music brings a fundamental component to a child's growth that academic studies and sports do not address. My goal for each student is their individual progress. To further benefit the students, I offer studio recitals 2 or 3 times a year, which encourage achievement through practicing towards a specific objective. The student comes to my home for their piano lessons which can last 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 60 minutes. I always welcome the parents to stay.
