Educational Value

Marketplace Update

Designer ED is a service company that coordinates expert personalized curriculum with your child in mind. This service provides easy-to-follow guides and all hands-on materials needed for each lesson. The curriculum is delivered to the home or childcare center. Our company employs experts in learning that coordinate relevant materials customized to each child’s needs. With ongoing challenges to the school curriculum, caregivers are having to take a more active role in the education of children – we share family learning materials that bring the fun back to learning and enhance your child’s world. Designer ED does the following:

  • Helps support a school curriculum
  • Provide a special need
  • Foster a new interest
  • Fill a learning gap
  • Coordinate a neighborhood club
  • Enrich Summer School
  • Design a homeschool
  • Enhance learning through play opportunities

We believe that the educational value we provide is the space to develop the relationship between the caregiver and the child with an underlying focus on academic rigor. We know computers are part of our reality, but we believe that the art of loving and learning can be lost in the digital space. Designer ED is different than other supplemental learning companies in that we want to know a child’s strengths, not from a standardized test but from observation, feedback from caregivers, and from coaching support by our expert designers. This is the process:

  • 1. First, we get to know the caregiver and the child. Choose a package that fits your needs and budget. Upon purchase, our team will send a short survey to customize our materials to the child’s interests and needs. You will be assigned a highly trained Designer who will work together with you to make the lessons you teach successful.
  • 2. Next, your Designer creates your unique lessons. Using age-appropriate best practices, your Designer coordinates your lessons, which include step-by-step plans, quality children’s literature, and all the hands-on materials you will need to teach successfully.
  • 3. Your personalized lessons arrive on your doorstep, ready to go! The high-quality materials are organized for each lesson, packed up, and sent to your address. All hands-on learning opportunities are designed to be fun and engaging for you and the child. Each lesson includes goals and research supporting each learning opportunity.
  • 4. Recycle the non-consumable materials for credit toward your next purchase. Using the pre-labeled free shipping bag, send back the non-consumable materials for a credit toward your next purchase. This limits household clutter and landfill waste. Today is the day we even the playing field in education by giving families and caregivers the support they need to teach to their child’s strengths and needs!

Only approved educational items are reimbursable. Please visit this link for full details.

Homeschoolers may only purchase the following:

  • Learning curriculum (including books)
  • Learning materials: consumables i.e. supplies which are consumed, destroyed, or expended by the student in the process of use
  • Manipulatives: physical objects that are used as teaching tools to engage students in hands-on learning.

Please note that ACE account funds cannot be used for the purchase of electronic devices.
