IMPORTANT PROGRAM UPDATE
The federal funds used to operate this project are scheduled to expire later this year. As a result, all ACE funds must be used for allowable activities no later than July 1, 2024. (Dates of service must occur before July 1, 2024.)*
All claims requesting payment or reimbursement must be submitted to Merit for processing no later than July 15, 2024. Any funds that are not expended by July 1, 2024 will no longer be available. Claims submitted after July 15, 2024 will not be approved.
*Clarification for service dates/close down for camps: Claims for day camps that have been paid for by parents may be reimbursed if the service date occurs through September 1, 2024. The claim is only reimbursable for day camps during this time period if the parent has paid up front and prior to July 1, 2024.
Each Service Provider conducts their business differently and may collect payment for their goods/services in one of two ways:
1. Parent/Guardian pays for goods/services at time of service. This type of purchase can be reimbursed with OH ACE account funds directly to the parent/guardian via claim submission with an attached receipt in the OH ACE app as long as the parent/guardian has connected their bank account to the app.
2. Service Provider issues an invoice to the parent/guardian for goods/services. This invoice can be paid directly to the Service Provider using OH ACE account funds by submitting a claim with the attached invoice in the OH ACE app, as long as the Service Provider has set up their account to receive those funds.
Please check with each Service Provider ahead of a purchasing decision to ensure you are aware of their policy regarding payment at time of service or invoicing.

The mission at Mindful Literacy Practice is to build a strong learning community that cultivates literacy and mindfulness practices with children, their families, and their teachers. Mindful Literacy Practice is a place where we come together in community to gain knowledge, tools, and mindset; to collect tools and strategies; and to tune into our selves, each other, and our world with intention so that we can get the best outcomes for our children who have learning differences. We serve ALL children, but specialize with kids who have ADHD, Dyslexia, and other specific learning disabilities. May of our tutors are specially trained in Structured Literacy/Science of Reading. We provided 1:1 literacy, math, and executive functioning tutoring for kids K-12 and summer day camp experiences with partnering organizations (e.g., Final Third Foundation and Future Athletics). We also support the after school soccer and literacy program with the Final Third Foundation. Mindful Literacy Practice is a John Peterson Scholarship Provider.
