IMPORTANT PROGRAM UPDATE

The federal funds used to operate this project are scheduled to expire later this year. As a result, all ACE funds must be used for allowable activities no later than July 1, 2024. (Dates of service must occur before July 1, 2024.)*

All claims requesting payment or reimbursement must be submitted to Merit for processing no later than July 15, 2024. Any funds that are not expended by July 1, 2024 will no longer be available. Claims submitted after July 15, 2024 will not be approved.

*Clarification for service dates/close down for camps: Claims for day camps that have been paid for by parents may be reimbursed if the service date occurs through September 1, 2024. The claim is only reimbursable for day camps during this time period if the parent has paid up front and prior to July 1, 2024.

Educational Value

Tutoring with Teacher Angela is a private tutoring provider for local students who require extra assistance and intervention in math and/or reading and ELA. Private sessions meet after school and throughout the summer providing individualized instruction that is high interest, evidence-based, and structured in a flexible, student-centered model. Current educational standards of practice are employed as well as tried-and-true methods of instruction and review. Tutoring with Teacher Angela currently uses a structured litercy approach in order to meet the reading needs of all my learners. Math is also taught in a structured, strategy-based curricum in order to solidify fact fluency and provide a base for higher level thinking skills. Classroom teacher assigned work assistance is also provided upon request. Students range from pre-k levels up to high school ELA and come from neighboring public and private school districts as well as homeschool. Angela Rudd, Head Teacher, holds a BS in Education from Miami University (2000) + 15 from Cincinnati State Universtiy and University of Dayton, and is a retired teacher from the State of Ohio having held several 1-8 teaching certificates. She worked as a public school teacher and specialist for over 11 years. She currently holds a TESLA teaching certificate and has a current fingerprint/background check on file. Tutoring with Teacher Angela partners with local school districts, classroom teachers, specialized teachers, community libraries, and families in order to provide the most synchronous educational experience for each child.
