IMPORTANT PROGRAM UPDATE
The federal funds used to operate this project are scheduled to expire later this year. As a result, all ACE funds must be used for allowable activities no later than July 1, 2024. (Dates of service must occur before July 1, 2024.)*
All claims requesting payment or reimbursement must be submitted to Merit for processing no later than July 15, 2024. Any funds that are not expended by July 1, 2024 will no longer be available. Claims submitted after July 15, 2024 will not be approved.
*Clarification for service dates/close down for camps: Claims for day camps that have been paid for by parents may be reimbursed if the service date occurs through September 1, 2024. The claim is only reimbursable for day camps during this time period if the parent has paid up front and prior to July 1, 2024.
Each Service Provider conducts their business differently and may collect payment for their goods/services in one of two ways:
1. Parent/Guardian pays for goods/services at time of service. This type of purchase can be reimbursed with OH ACE account funds directly to the parent/guardian via claim submission with an attached receipt in the OH ACE app as long as the parent/guardian has connected their bank account to the app.
2. Service Provider issues an invoice to the parent/guardian for goods/services. This invoice can be paid directly to the Service Provider using OH ACE account funds by submitting a claim with the attached invoice in the OH ACE app, as long as the Service Provider has set up their account to receive those funds.
Please check with each Service Provider ahead of a purchasing decision to ensure you are aware of their policy regarding payment at time of service or invoicing.

Gigalearn provides hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) camps and afterschool clubs & classes including computer programming, game coding, robotics, and electric art for elementary, middle school and high school students. You'll mostly find us out in the community, hosted by our partners at schools, community centers, and public libraries, but we also offer online classes, homeschool visits, and curriculum support. Our lesson plans are rooted in academic standards and built to help students build computational, logical thinking while having fun in small class sizes (typically 1:12 instructor: student ratio) that foster investigative, inquisitive learning and creative and computational thinking skills that will help them succeed in future careers whether or not they go into a STEAM field. Gigalearn believes in experiential learning, so students learn robotics by building them with programmable LEGO kits, or wiring them up with Arduino Microprocessors and electronic components. They experience engineering by making pop-up greeting cards with circuits that light up with LEDs and copper tape, and they build computer coding skills by designing and developing video games using Scratch, Python, HTML, JavaScript and more... Registration is often provided through our community partner host such as Lakewood Recreation & Community Education, Orange Community Education & Recreation, Broadview Heights Recreation Department, City of Bedford Parks & Recreation, Cuyahoga Community College (for youth summer camps only), Mandel Jewish Community Center, Lakewood Public Library, Cuyahoga County Public Library and many more. Some out of school time camps, particularly spring break and winter break camps may be hosted by Gigalearn directly, and will require direct payment which families can file for reimbursement.
