Meryl's Magic Math started after I saw my students struggle in their high school math classes. I knew their grades didn't reflect their abilities. They needed more individual instruction, which was difficult with growing class sizes. Tutoring allowed for personalized help, resulting in higher student motivation and confidence in their math ability. Students showed tremendous gains in improved grades and understanding in a short amount of time. They realized they can excel in math. When students asked me how to solve homework problems, I explained complex concepts so simply that students would say, “That’s magic!” Hence the name Meryl’s Magic Math. At Meryl’s Magic Math, we believe all students can learn math and be successful in it. We explain concepts simply and in multiple ways to ensure understanding. We help high school and college students improve their confidence, math understanding, and grades. In tailoring the lesson to the student’s specific needs, we can cover a full week’s worth of class content (and sometimes more!) in one hour. Therefore, students typically attend tutoring once a week for one hour. We offer both in person tutoring or online tutoring!
